Anchor straps function by wrapping around a structural element or connecting to designated anchor points. Some straps feature sewn loops or metal D-rings at the ends for easy connection with carabiners or other hardware. Others have adjustable buckles for variable length. The configuration affects the overall strength of the anchor system. Different materials offer varying degrees of abrasion resistance, UV resistance, and heat resistance. Straps meeting industry standards such as EN 795, EN 354, EN 566, and ANSI Z359.18 are typically certified for specific load ratings and applications. Minimum Breaking Strengths (MBS) generally range from 19 kN to over 100 kN depending on the material and construction.
