The DMM 11mm Dynatec Cut Away Sling is designed as a short extender for connecting components. The dyneema construction gives it a 22kN minimum breaking strength but still allows it to be cut away in an emergency which is not possible if just using a wire lanyard or other metal hardware alone.

Unlike normal climbing quickdraw slings, one end of the cut away sling features a half twist to allow for easy connection to hardware with a girth hitch.

The DMM 11mm Dynatec Cut Away Sling is manufactured from the same 11mm dyneema webbing used in DMMs climbing quickdraws and slings. The material has several advantages over traditional nylon webbing. It has a higher strength-to-weight ratio, is less susceptible to UV degradation and has greater abrasion resistance, making Dynatec an ideal material for creating lightweight slings and quickdraws.
