The most advanced descent control device available. Designed for rope rescue and rope access.

SKU 335011 Category Tag

The CMC Clutch by Harken Industrial is a multipurpose tool for rope rescue and rope access. It works as a traditional handled descender but can also be used as an efficient pulley with progress capture. Unlike a traditional handled descender which uses a cam mechanism to provide friction, the Clutch uses a pulley mechanism on a one way bearing. While descending or lowering the mechanism is fixed providing friction. When used as a pulley for mechanical advantage, the mechanism rotates providing efficient movement of the rope.
